Quartet Competition 2025

String Quartets are welcomed WITHOUT instruments. Central International Violin Making Competition™ will provide Instruments to Ensembles. Central International String Quartet Competition™ is scheduled for September, 2025. It attracts motivated string quartets (two violins, viola and cello), with members under 36 years old, on 16 September 2025 (included). Quartets of all nations invited to participate.

LIMITED TO ACCEPT 8 STRING QUARTETS ONLY

The documents must be sent by email BEFORE July 15, 2025
Application form sent by email together with the Enrollment Fee.
bio of the quartet and personal bio of each member.
copy of an id or passport for each member of the quartet.
recent photo of the quartet.
formal declaration authorizing the quartet to fulfil its obligations as participants of the Competition, from the quartet agents, other similar organizations or recording companies.
129 EUR Enrollment Fee (not refundable) per quartet, paid by PayPal

Deadline 15 July 2025

PROGRAM
First Round
– One Movement from a Composition – baroque/early classic/classic.
Second Round
– One Movement from a Composition – early romantic/impressionism/expressionism.
Final RESULTS
– a Composition specially written for the Competition (will be send on the 5 August 2025).
This is the Compulsory Composition

Before the 10:30 on the 16 September 2025, all participants must confirm their presence by Email. Delays will not be tolerated. The order of performances will be established on 18 September 2025 around 11:30 and The Competition will start on 18 September at 14:00. Prize-Giving Ceremony and Gala Concert will be held on the 20 September 2025 at 18:00 – LOCATION TO BE CONFIRMED. Once the Application Form submitted, no changes allowed! Three complete sets of scores of the performance repertoire will be required of every participating string quartet.
